Receiving The Home Cinema Choice Award For "Installer Of The Year 2010"
On the 23rd April 2010 Imagine This continued to add to their impressive awards tally, with "Home Cinema Choice’s Installer Of The year 2010".
The Awards themselves were held at the Apollo Cinema, Regents Street, London, where 250 of the industry’s most acclaimed manufacturers and revered installers gathered to witness the ceremony.
"An outstanding example of CI excellence" was how the judges described Imagine This projects.
Guy and Karin Singleton were there to collect the award and enjoyed the event as a whole, but winning made it all the better! Guy commented, "After the CEDIA award success last Friday and the the momentum we have gathered throughout the year, this for me was the icing on the cake. I personally have been a fan of HCC since my first Laser Disc player (Pioneer 2950), so to win this award was without doubt one of my real goals. We are a company that prides ourselves on our technical ability in the custom install market and I feel pleased that this has been recognised by Home Cinema Choice. The HCC awards are a great achievement for us, as we are a compact but specialist company; this shows what we can do and the level we are operating at. I am very proud of my team and I look forward to another successful year."
We are delighted to announce that our "Keston Theatre" project was highly commended at the CEDIA Awards on Friday 16th April 2010. CEDIA recognised our entry for enhancing the experience for the user; "it was the fingertip recognition, amongst other things, that caught the imagination of the judges and won Imagine This a Highly Commended accolade for this multi-sensory and state-of-the-art home cinema".
In what was probably the most hotly contested category at the event, we were delighted to have been recognised for the technical expertise of our installation.
We were also honoured to have been selected as Finalist for our "Kingston Theatre" project.
In the cinema award categories this year, CEDIA were looking for entries which met their stringent criteria for technical merit and for installation excellence. Imagine this were proud to have both of our entries reach the finals and to be recognised as providing such a high technical standard of cinema design and installation.

It seems that the bar is raised higher each year in terms of the technical standard of entries and we certainly were competing against the finest installations both in the UK and abroad. ‘Imagine This’ triumphed at the recent Crestron Integration Awards, stealing the show in the Home Sweet Home Cinema category with ‘Forest Drive’ - an impressive and all-encompassing home cinema solution for a Kent family home and an example of true Crestron theatre!
In completing the project, Imagine This answered the client’s brief for a THX ISF reference high definition home cinema for his family to enjoy, but offering the same Crestron control system as the rest of his high-tech property. From the inclusion of Crestron iPod docks to Crestron tuners, to Crestron lighting and to AV control, this home theatre truly packs the full Crestron punch!
The attention to detail which has been applied is evident throughout the property, even in those areas which are out of sight. Yes, this is a project which looks every bit as good behind the scenes as it does front of house, something that was also recognised by CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) when it won the Best Dressed category at the CEDIA Awards 2009.

We had all agreed that this was a special project, but to have this recognition from Crestron really confirms how great this theatre is. Crestron have always been known for the touch-panels and processors, but we used so much more on this project; from lighting, HVAC, intercom & amplifiers, it really gave the whole project a quality finish. Imagine this were proud to receive the CEDIA award for Best Dressed Installation at the CEDIA Awards 2009. The coveted award was presented by Sky News Anchorman, Martin Stanford at an awards ceremony at The Brewery, London on Friday 3rd April 2009. The award was presented in recognition for the install that had been completed most carefully. In presenting the award, CEDIA noted that "the attention to detail which Imagine this applied to its Kent-based installation was evident throughout the property... the judges felt that it was so beautifully put together; it was clear someone had taken real care over the detailing. The judges also felt that "Imagine this applied rigorous standards when installing all of the components of the home, from the AV rack which was constructed in the company’s workshop and then installed and tested by the integrators, to every keypad and touchpanel which was connected and mounted with care and precision."
In a highly contested category, which received over ninety entries from companies in the UK, Europe, Africa and India, the installation from Imagine this was held to be the clear winner. Imagine this have long been respected for the quality of their installation work and their technical expertise. Success at CEDIA Awards demonstrates at an International level how well deserved their reputation is.

In 2008 Imagine this won the ‘Brilliant Lighting Design’ award from Crestron. This ‘dealer of distinction award’ was presented to us for the ‘Winter Garden’ project. We were presented the award at the Crestron party, hosted at the annual CEDIA Expo in London’s Docklands. Crestron UK Managing Director, Robin Van Meeuwen, and Crestron UK Marketing Manager, Petra Van Meeuwen, presented the award to Imagine this’ Project Manager, Karin Singleton.
Karin said, "I am delighted to collect this award on behalf of Imagine this; I think this recognizes and endorses the level of expertise and experience that we have in this area. It was a unique project for any company and I feel proud of the results and of the team".
