Lighting control and design is our specialty. We are award winning lighting designers; our background and passion is in electrical engineering. We design our lighting control schemes in-house and this also includes the electrical design. Due care is given to the way in which we provide the correct schematics, load schedules and electrical calculations. The types of lighting loads within the lighting control system are also of major importance, due to the introduction of Part 'L' of the building regulations and energy efficiency guidelines, as set down by the government. We use specialist Amtech electrical design software along with AutoCAD to provide architects and electrical contractors with everything that they need for the process of specifying and installing a lighting control system.
We are highly trained and experienced in both Lutron Homeworks and Crestron Lighting control systems. We have used both extensively in our lighting control projects with great success; indeed we have won recognition for our lighting control work.
Our energy efficient lighting control systems have been used to gain huge savings in energy and costs. We specify lighting control systems and energy efficient light fittings that will operate with lower energy demands than conventional systems. We have developed our own standards for energy efficiency - Energy Responsible - and we apply this to the greatest level possible throughout our projects.
Our expertise in lighting control is recognised throughout the industry, with major manufacturers engaging us to help design and develop lighting control systems for them to distribute in the UK and overseas. We have been instrumental in the development of lighting dimmer panels and electrical compliancy for some of the industry's leading lighting control manufacturers.
Lighting control and design requires technical knowledge beyond that of Hi-fi dealers and retailers. This is a government legislated area of the industry and the relevant qualifications and affiliations need to be in place before carrying out any electrical design, installation and testing with certification; Imagine this have 20 years electrical engineering experience with all the necessary qualifications and test equipment to make this part of the build process aesthetically dramatic & reassuringly compliant.
We program our whole home lighting control systems to enhance the lifestyle of the user, using aesthetically pleasing and functional lighting scenes. Each system has the benefit of astronomical time scheduling and vacation modes for convenience and security.
Lighting control systems can be used to control both artificial and natural light and usually include control of natural light, in the form of curtain and blind control. Motorised curtain tracks and blinds can be incorporated into the lighting control system, using simple relays or a more comprehensive solution may be achieved through Lutron’s Sivoia product line. We are able to motorise and integrate many different window treatments, including roller shades, traditional drapery tracks, vertical drapery, tensioned shades and Roman blinds.
There are many advantages to incorporating the control of window treatments, such as security and convenience but importantly also, controlling the sunlight into the room during relevant times of the day can bring improvements in temperature control and reductions in the use of air-conditioning systems. Motorised window treatments add a luxurious feel to the automated home.

Our environmental control systems provide control and enhancements of the living environment. We integrate environmental control of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, using the professional control solution from Crestron. We can accurately report information about the environment of a zone such as temperature and use control systems to independently control each zone. In a residential application for example, we can integrate the heating within a specific zone, perhaps a bedroom, and provide real-time feedback to the user, allowing them to remotely change the desired temperature within that zone. We have used Crestron control for our environmental systems, indeed our Forest Drive project is said to have been the largest residential Crestron HVAC application in the UK.
